Please note: Results from the current (2002-2006) and 1994 National Woodland Owner Surveys are not directly comparable. The 1994 survey used two different sampling systems. Neither the details of these systems nor the sources for the underlying forest area estimates were fully documented. We are working on methods to allow for direct comparisons between the two data sets.
