FIADB Application Programming Interface (API)
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are now publicly available for users to directly access a report generator. While the Datamart tool uses these APIs to allow users to run standard and batch reports, the API can also be directly called by a user's own application program to generate forest statistics to produce inputs for that application. The following item(s) provide guidance and examples on the use of these APIs:
EVALIDator
EVALIDator allows users to produce a large variety of population estimates and their sampling errors based on the current Forest Inventory and Analysis Database (FIADB). The following item(s) provide guidance in the use of the EVALIDator tool:
Difference Tester
The Difference Tester tools account for covariance when comparing total (totals version) and per acre (ratio version) estimates of a chosen attribute over time. A user must have knowledge of the FIA inventory, FIA database, Structured Query Language and statistics to effectively use Difference Tester. The following item(s) offer further information and example comparisons to knowledgable users:
DATIM
DATIM is a suite of tools used for designing inventory and monitoring programs and for analyzing the results of those programs. The following item(s) offer guidance and training in the use of the DATIM suite of tools:
